Privacy policy

BestCredit ("we") is an Indian credit-card information and comparison website at bestcredit.in. We collect as little personal data as we can. This policy explains what we do collect, why, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
What we collect
- Nothing you type. The recommendation wizard and calculators run in your browser; your spending inputs are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- Aggregate usage analytics. We use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics (aggregate page views, country, referrer, device class). This does not identify you and is not used for advertising profiles.
- Outbound click logs.When you click an Apply button, we record that a click happened for a given card and page surface (e.g. "comparison table"), with the referring page. We do not record your identity — there are no user accounts today.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence to respond and improve the site.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this ever changes (for example, if we introduce accounts or advertising that requires consent), this policy and an in-product consent notice will be updated before the change takes effect.
Third parties
- Card issuers and affiliate networks.When you click Apply, you leave BestCredit and land on the issuer's (or its affiliate network's) site. Their privacy policies govern what happens there — including any application you submit. We never see your application data.
- Infrastructure. The site is served via Cloudflare, which processes requests (IP addresses, headers) as our infrastructure provider to deliver and secure the site.
Your rights (DPDP Act)
You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of any personal data we hold about you, and you may raise a grievance about our handling of it. Since we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern email correspondence. Write to contact@bestcredit.inwith the subject "Privacy request" — we respond within 7 working days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The site is intended for adults eligible to hold credit cards in India (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, with the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
